The new-look D'Angelo family imploded last night as Santos Escobar cost Tony D'Angelo a shot at winning the North American Championship.
D'Angelo challenged for Carmelo Hayes' North American title in the main event of last night's NXT. While the referee was distracted, D'Angelo wanted Escobar to pass him brass knuckles to use against Hayes. But Escobar instead slid the knuckles to Hayes, who knocked D'Angelo out with a punch and pinned him to retain the North American title.
The show ended with Legado del Fantasma staring down D'Angelo and his crew.
Earlier in the night, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde lost to Roderick Strong & Damon Kemp due to a miscommunication with Stacks & Two Dimes.
Legado del Fantasma were forced to join the D'Angelo family after losing a six-man tag match at In Your House earlier this month. The D'Angelo family used brass knuckles to win that match.
